UK MAB Committee
The UK Man And the Biosphere (UK MAB) Committee oversees the activities in the UK under UNESCO's MAB Programme. The Committee represents various groups with an interest in biosphere reserves that reflect the multiple facets of the MAB Programme. These include representatives from conservation, cultural, economic, education, environmental, and social sectors. UK MAB supports and provides oversight of UK biosphere reserves.
The Committee is independent but works closely with the UK National Commission for UNESCO.
