UK Reserves

 

 

The seven biosphere reserves currently located around the UK are:

Biosffer Dyfi Biosphere (Wales) (extended 2009)

North Devon's Biosphere Reserve (England) (extended 2002)

Beinn Eighe Biosphere Reserve (Scotland)

Cairnsmore of Fleet & Silver Flowe - Merrick Kells Biosphere Reserve (Scotland)

Loch Druidibeg Biosphere Reserve (Scotland)

Moor House - Upper Teesdale Biosphere Reserve (England)

North Norfolk Coast Biosphere Reserve (England)

Currently only two biosphere reserves, North Devon's Biosphere Reserve and Biosffer Dyfi Biosphere in Wales have been extended to meet the Seville Strategy "new style" biosphere reserve criteria.

 

Research
